Mood Life - Call Me on Update Magazine
Not a cover of Skyy’s ‘80s Salsoul nugget, yet still incredibly retro sounding in all three mixes (including one apiece by Marshall Jefferson and Romac) - that down largely to the inclusion of a penny whistle providing the main hook atop a piano-driven groove and funky bassline. It’s a soulful combination matched by an equally dated, yet easy on the ear vocal and song – think Jocelyn Brown in her Inner Life days. (Lewis Dene) 4 dancin’ men

‘Feel Me’ Promo Review – 22nd July 2005 - BLUES & SOUL - IMPORT REVIEWS #945 - Reviews by Lewis Dene
MARSHALL JEFFERSON featuring RACHAEL PEARSON: “Feel Me”
Away for far too long in recent times, it’s great to report the return of one of the forefathers of the Chicago house, the producer of anthems for Ten City, Kym Mazelle and Ce Ce Rogers, the don… Marshall Jefferson. Fanfares over, and this is vintage windy city house with MJ’s trademark strings, insinuating percussion and a piano line that just won’t let up. The hypnotic qualities are held together by London-based beauty, Rachael Pearson, and her equally repetitive “feel meeee, I’m here with you” hook that goes on, and on, and… (LD) 5/5

Lisa Loco Interview with Marshall Jefferson – 5th March 2005
Chicago House music maestro Marshall has been getting about a bit of late, he has graced the decks of many northern clubs including Stereo (Space, Leeds), Club Bar Non (Huddersfield) and Bed (Sheffield). Jefferson, now 41 is experienced on the music and clubbing scene and when I caught up with him at the Majestyk club (Leeds) he had all the airs of someone who has been doing this a very long time! A true professional, Marshall’s funky House set for ‘The Collective’ / ‘City of Industry’ evening showed the calibre of this American great..... click for More >>

CeCe Rogers & David Dee In T-Dot, Toronto – 11th January -Heavenly Voices
Stopped by Roxy Blu Friday night to hear CeCe Rogers perform as part of Voices , a series of parties affiliated with Phatblackpussykat focusing on vocalists in house music. Rogers is best known for the seminal classic house track Someday, which he did with Marshall Jefferson back in 88, but he's sung and played piano on numerous other records over the years. Arrived to hear Jason Palma throwing down disco classics and soulful house with his trademark contagious enthusiasm. Once the crowd was ready, Rogers stepped up to the microphone and played a slow, moody piano intro, showing everyone immediately that he''s actually a talented player and not just a good studio vocalist.
New York-based DJ David Dee handled cueing up the instrumental versions while Rogers played the piano and sang his heart out. Strong gospel influences dominated Rogers''s sound, and he performed covers of Promised Land and Move Your Body along with a handful of his own songs.
The crowd response was great – many people sang along and threw their hands in the air every chance they got. Billing Rogers as the "godfather of house" might be stretching things, but he definitely proved to be one of the best performers in the genre.
‘Stay’ By T&F Vs Moltosugo feat CeCe Rogers - January 11th 2005
A collaboration with italian producers providing an excellent work on Rondo Veneziano's " La Serenissima " to " STAY " with CeCe's prestigious voice. The track reached on top italian charts and also on Top Of The Pops (Italy).
Wow, this is a strong classic tune! Fantastic Production that will for sure Everybody Dance!!! Full Support and Top Rate 10!!

Paris Brightledge - 'Searchin' on Update Magazine review by Greg Fenton
At last here’s a record, which doesn’t make you feel embarrassed to admit that – god forbid - you actually like songs. It’s beautifully sung by Paris Brightledge whose emotive delivery and thoughtful words are done justice by Marshall Jefferson’s creative use pumping bass, cutting strings and tasteful piano. An Instrumental is also supplied just in case there was any doubt but either way this is exceptionally good. And I didn’t even have to mention the word soulful once.
